Believe Her, I am Your Leader This piece signifies the total control of our (humanity’s), demons. The swan is the representative of each individual person and the skull is symbolic of those demons. The whole series of ETERNAL is about the struggle between humanity and the evil in the world. This piece in particular deals with the personal battle each of us fight. Are we able to overcome the inner demons that we face each day? Are we able to persevere through our obstacles? BELIEVE HER, I AM YOUR LEADER, is a piece that shows that on certain days the evil can seem to overpower every aspect of your life. It seems to be that there is no “good” in the world around you. BUT the swan has its head held high and knows that it can overpower and conquer the “bad” in its life. Despite all the negative in its life (shown as the skulls in the water) the swan (us) shines and pushes forward. We all have inner strength and can persevere through adversity.
